«Ideally this tapestry would float across these dirty waters to get us to Venice.» Laure Prouvost

Laure Prouvost playfully mistranslates the French popular expression «On va vous raconter des salades» (we will tell you lies), as an echo to her practice as well as her epic journey to the French Pavilion. The artist designed a tapestry to finance part of the production of the French Pavilion. This artwork is produced by a specialist in Flanders, Belgium, with whom Laure Prouvost regularly collaborates for all of her tapestries.
