The exhibition entitled The Freelance DJ is the third common outcome of the artists David Fesl (b. 1995) a Sláva Sobotovičová (b. 1973), following their residency ending in the event We Would Like You to Be Our Showpiece (2017) at the INI Space in Prague and the exhibition Famous Writer (2017) reviewing the Writing Club activity at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.

Anyway, songs are not about what their lyrics say and a singer is not the head that’s on the picture. Yet you can lose it over both. A missing link, a lunch break on the seventh floor, stale leftover coffee in a paper cup, a sexual projection on a sheet of paper from the printer. A flat cypher that will never do, but there is no choice. Strictly personal; size: ballpoint pen. A4 is the space that’s left. And we do have to look at something.
