Well Projects are very excited to announce ‘Channel’, a solo presentation of paintings and installation by Thomas Jeppe, opening Saturday 21 September, 5-8pm. Run in collaboration with Pilgrims Hospice, the exhibition is split across two locations in Margate: Well Projects and The Old Bank Bookshop..

The exhibition includes a text by Shumon Basar titled ‘We’re on a Bridge to Nowhere’.

Thomas Jeppe (b.1984) is an artist currently based in Paris/Como. Recent shows and projects took place at SALTS Basel, Goswell Road Paris, Paris Internationale w/ After 8 Books, Conradi Hamburg, Bourse de Commerce w/ CS & Kreme, The Community Paris, YSL Melbourne, Balice Hertling Paris, Longtang Zurich, BWS Mexico City, Fondation Ricard Paris, Futura Prague, TG London, MJ Geneva, Sazmanab Teheran, The Oracle Berlin, The Duck Berlin, Utopian Slumps Melbourne, MCA Sydney, amongst others.

Pilgrims Hospice helps people facing a terminal diagnosis, and their families, to live well in every moment. Pilgrims work began 35 years ago, with the vision of one village nurse – now their President Ann Robertson. Ann wanted to make a difference for the people in her community facing terminal illness.

Shumon Basar is a writer, thinker, and cultural critic. With Douglas Coupland and Hans Ulrich Obrist, Shumon is coauthor of The Age of Earthquakes. He is also Commissioner of the Global Art Forum in Dubai, editor-at-large of Tank magazine, contributing editor of Bidoun magazine, director of the Format program at the AA School, London, and an advisor to Miucca Prada/Fondazione Prada, Milan.
