CLOSER

Whispering paintings, portraits paired with short, intimate texts, invite the viewer closer, then allow them to step back again. From this shifting distance, unknown faces emerge and begin to speak to us. Brückner describes his art as an experimental process, a search through forms, truths, and failures to reach some kind of bottom or peak and to investigate the human. It is, in his words; 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 and an overdose of honesty that challenges the boundaries between public and private, aesthetic and functional.
